The Musicians’ Kids
Autumn,11 (left) on cornet, and Lilia Sanders, 9, on bass play Jingle Bells in the family’s living room in Mountlake Terrace earlier this season. They are the children of EdCC Music Chairman and instructor, John Sanders and his wife, Dana, who is a musician/singer John met in a jazz choir in college. Autumn played violin for four years to appease her daddy, he says, but began cornet this year in band and loves it. In the Sanders home, even the Christmas tree carries a tune.
